Over the years we’ve spent a lot of time praying about the kind of dogs we want to raise and the experience we want families to have when bringing home a puppy from Sappy Paws. At the end of the day, our mission has always remained the same..
To raise healthy, happy puppies that grow into best friends and wonderful companions.

Breeding With Health in Mind
One of the biggest priorities at Sappy Paws is long-term health.
We carefully select parent dogs based not only on personality and appearance, but also on health testing, structure, and overall temperament. Many of our dogs come from strong AKC lines, and we thoughtfully pair breeds that complement one another well.
We especially love intentionally breeding hybrid puppies because of the balance they bring, combining wonderful personality traits while helping strengthen overall health.
Why Temperament Matters So Much
A beautiful puppy is wonderful. But even more so, a stable, loving temperament is what truly changes a family’s life.
That’s why we place such a strong focus on temperament here at Sappy Paws.
We intentionally raise puppies to be:
Gentle and people-focused
Confident, not fearful, by exposing them to lots of people, sounds and environments
Adaptable to family life, they are loved on by kids of all ages
Loving and emotionally connected
As a family-run breeder, our puppies grow up surrounded by children, daily routines, household sounds, and constant interaction. They learn early on that people are safe, affection is normal, and life is full of positive experiences. Those early weeks matter more than most people realize and we are honored to be trusted with your fur-babies!!
Early Exposure & Puppy Culture
We touched on this above, but here at Sappy Paws, we incorporate Puppy Culture inspired methods and early enrichment practices to help puppies build confidence from the very beginning.

Daily handling and gentle touch
Exposure to household activity and sounds
New textures, toys, and environments, including the outdoor play areas and cuddles on the couch!
Early socialization with children and other dogs
Sleep and routine foundations
These experiences help puppies become emotionally balanced and better prepared for the transition into their forever homes. We’re not just raising puppies, we’re helping shape future family dogs. Thoughtful breeding isn’t about creating perfect dogs. It’s about responsibly raising healthy, loved, well-socialized companions who are prepared to transition into family life with ease.
